Cursus export pakken voor internationale verhuizingen
As you may know, at the start of this year (2024), we partnered with HALO Removal Logistics, taking a significant step toward expanding our presence in the global moving market. Behind the scenes, we’ve been working on several projects, including the development of a new website. Additionally, our employees are undergoing extra training. Hans Hageman, the former owner of HALO, will be frequently at our office over the coming months, providing our team with valuable knowledge, particularly about preparing furniture for export packing.
How to pack for a move
To give our staff more tips and tricks for packing export moves efficiently and securely, Hans conducted an "export packing" course last Friday.
Here are some of the key takeaways:
- Any removable parts of an object should be disassembled and packed separately;
- Glass must always be transported upright and will be packed not only in bubble wrap but also in Rhino cardboard for added protection;
- It’s important to pack everything in square shapes as much as possible—this makes it easier to load items into an export container;
- When packing flat screens, the stands should be disassembled and packed separately in bubble wrap and a cardboard box;
- Packing materials can be custom-cut to fit any item. This requires a different approach than a standard move.
Of course, there were many more tips shared, and you’ll see more updates on this as we continue to keep you informed about developments within our company!
